Title: ●Proposed Priorities, Requirements, Definitions, and Selection Criteria-Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy Program | |
Abstract:
The Department is proposing priorities, requirements, definitions, and selection criteria under the Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy (SRCL) program. These proposed priorities, requirements, definitions, and selection criteria would replace the priorities, requirements, definitions, and selection criteria in the SRCL notice inviting applications for new awards for Fiscal Year 2011, published in the Federal Register on March 10, 2011 (76 FR 13143). The Department takes this action to address an area of national need by providing competitive grant awards to State educational agencies to advance literacy skills, including pre-literacy skills, reading, and writing, for children from birth through grade 12, including English learners and children with disabilities. |
