Title: Revision of Certain Federal Water Quality Criteria Applicable to Washington | |
Abstract:
EPA promulgated Washington's existing criteria for the protection of human health in 1992 as part of the National Toxics Rule (40 CFR 131.36). EPA published a proposed rule on September 14, 2015, to update the currently applicable human health criteria in Washington to reflect the latest science and information, and to ensure that Washington residents are protected from exposure to toxic pollutants. EPA received written and oral public comments on the proposal, and is finalizing the proposal to reflect consideration of the comments received, as well as local and regional information, and EPA guidance in light of Clean Water Act requirements. |
