Title: Loan Guaranty: Qualification for Designated Fee Appraisers | |
Abstract:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its regulations concerning appraiser appointments to the VA fee panel. This proposed rule would remove the five years of experience requirement for applicants and substitute the years of experience prescribed by a state for licensure or certification. The rule would also make appointments to the fee panel subject to renewable term limits. This action is necessary to enable VA to increase the number of qualified applicants who may apply to the fee panel and to establish an appointment term renewal process to better protect veteran and VA interests. |
