Title: Revisions to Patient's Rights Conditions for Participation and Conditions for Coverage (CMS-3302-F) 
Abstract:

This final rule revises the applicable conditions of participation (CoPs) for providers and conditions for coverage (CfCs) for suppliers to ensure that the requirements are consistent with the Supreme Court decision in United States v. Windsor and HHS policy. Specifically, it revises certain definitions and patient's rights provisions to ensure that same-sex spouses in legally valid marriages are recognized and afforded equal rights in Medicare participating facilities.
