Title: Revising the Special Rule for Importation of Ivory From African Elephants (Loxodonta africana spp.)
Abstract: This rule revises the special rule for the African elephant (50 CFR 17.40(e)). Interstate commerce and export of ivory are restricted, except for antique specimens and certain other items. Import of sport-hunted trophies will continue to be allowed, but the number of trophies that are allowed to be imported by a hunter in a given year are reduced.
