Title: Energy Conservation Standards for Commercial and Industrial Air Compressors | |
Abstract:
DOE is in the process of determining whether commercial and industrial compressors, both air and natural gas, meet the criteria for covered equipment under part A-1 of title III of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended. DOE is also considering establishing energy conservation standards for commercial and industrial air compressors, which require DOE to determine whether a second set of energy use criteria are met. As part of this effort, DOE is soliciting comment and data from the public on a variety of issues related to the setting of standards for this equipment. DOE separated the consideration of conservation standards for natural gas compressors from this rulemaking which only pertains to air compressors. DOE will consider conservation standards for gas compressors in RIN 1904-AD40. |
