Title: Test Procedure for Dedicated Purpose Pool Pumps
Abstract:

In this test procedure rulemaking, DOE considers definitions, a metric, test procedures, and sampling provisions relevant to rating dedicated-purpose pool pumps (pool pumps or DPPP). Pumps are included in the list of covered equipment for which the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is authorized to establish and amend energy conservation standards and test procedures, and pool pumps are a subset of pumps. In developing the test procedure, DOE is considering the DPPP Working Group term sheet for pool pumps. The DPPP Working Group, a subcommittee of DOE's Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee, achieved consensus to approve a term sheet containing recommendations to DOE on scope, metric, and the general method for the test procedure.
