Title: Enterprise Duty To Serve Underserved Markets  
Abstract:

This rule will implement section 1129 of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA), which amended section 1335 of the Safety and Soundness Act (12 U.S.C. 4565) to provide that the Director shall establish a manner for evaluating whether and the extent to which the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) have complied with a new duty to serve three specified underserved markets.
