View Rule

This regulation is needed to ensure consistent and appropriate coverage of individuals under FEHB Program enrollments.   This final rule provides OPM, agencies, and carriers a defined process to remove individuals from FEHB enrollments who are ineligible under the FEHB Act to receive coverage. This process would ensure consistent treatment of individuals who are removed from enrollments for being ineligible because they have not provided adequate proof of family member status.  This rule would also allow federal employees and family members to remove certain family members from enrollments if coverage is not needed or desired.
