Title: Medicaid, Revisions to State Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Rules 
Abstract:

This final rule will amend the regulations governing State Medicaid Fraud ControlUnits (MFCUs). The MFCUs receive Federal matching funds to fulfill their mission of investigating and prosecuting Medicaid provider fraud as well as patient abuse or neglect in facility settings. The Office of Inspector General (OIG), which oversees the MFCU program,is updating the 1978 regulations issued on inception of the program to incorporate statutory changes as wellaspolicy and practice changes since inception.
