Title: Injurious Wildlife Species; Listing Venomous Snakes
Abstract:

This proposed rule would evaluate several species of foreign venomous snakes for listing as injurious reptiles to reduce the threat they may pose in the United States. The species may be imported through the live animal trade, and their bites or bodily contact with venom can cause serious human harm. For some species, no antivenin exists anywhere, or availability is limited in the United States. The snakes may also cause ecological harm.
