Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Regulatory Review of the Status of the Gray Wolf in the Lower 48 States and Mexico
Abstract:

FWS will reassess the listing status of the gray wolf (Canis lupus). As the result of a February 2022 court decision, the gray wolf is once again protected under the Endangered Species Act as a threatened species in Minnesota and as an endangered species in all or parts of 44 other States and Mexico. Our status determination will be based on the best available information as of the time of publication. Based on the reassessment, FWS may propose to reclassify or delist the species, unless FWS determines no change in status is warranted.
