Semiannual Agenda of Regulations

AGENCY: Commission on Civil Rights.

ACTION: Semiannual regulatory agenda.

SUMMARY: This agenda announces the regulations the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights will have under development during the 12-month period following publication of the agenda. The purpose for publishing this agenda is to give notice of any regulatory activity by the Commission in order to allow the public an opportunity to participate in the rulemaking process. Therefore, this agenda announces the revisions that will update Commission regulations, specifically 45 CFR sections 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, and 708.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: For further information on any items in the agenda, contact Jennifer Cron Hepler, Attorney-Advisor, Office of General Counsel, U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW., Suite 1150, Washington, DC 20425, (202) 376-8351.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: In accordance with Executive Order 12866, "Regulatory Planning and Review," and the Regulatory Flexibility Act (5 U.S.C. section 605), executive agencies are required to publish a semiannual regulatory agenda in the Federal Register.

The regulations being considered by the Commission are not "significant" rules within the meaning of Executive Order 12866, and no regulatory impact analysis is required. The Commission has determined that the regulations under consideration will not impose compliance costs or reporting burdens on the public, nor will the regulations have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. Accordingly, no regulatory analysis is required.
