The American Security Drone Act restricts the ability of federal agencies and recipients of federal funding to procure or operate an unmanned aircraft (drone) or associated elements that were manufactured or assembled by certain foreign entities. The Federal Acquisition Security Council (FASC) is issuing an interim final rule to establish the list of items that constitute associated elements subject to the Act’s restrictions.
