USDA previously issued an Interim Final Rule (IFR) before the start of this Administration to establish new regulations that will set requirements for the quantification, reporting, and verification of low-carbon, domestic agricultural biofuel feedstocks. The rule may create additional opportunities to produce low-carbon agricultural feedstocks sourcing biofuels, and may provide added-value market opportunities for farmers producing biofuel feedstock crops.  The next steps for this action are currently undetermined.
