The Agency seeks to expand its lender indemnification authority for loss claims in the case of fraud, misrepresentation, or noncompliance with applicable loan origination requirements; amend special loan options to include principal reductions which lenders may utilize to mitigate losses while still maintaining the SFHGLP loan guarantee; amend refinance provisions to include a streamlined refinance option was tested in a successful pilot; and add a section clarifying that any loan guaranteed by the Agency is a "qualified mortgage" under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of (Pub. L. 111-203).
