The SNAP: Certification, Eligibility, and Employment and Training Provisions of the Food, Energy and Conservation Act of 2008 final rule was published on January 6, 2017. The interim final portion of the rule increased requirements for Group Living Arrangements and Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers.   All comments received on the interim changes were negative and indicated that the regulatory change presented significant technical and administrative challenges.  For these reasons, FNS wants to determine how best to address the needs of this particular population through separate, focused rulemaking.  This final rule will remove some or all of the interim provisions published on January 6, 2017 and return to the administrative requirements previously in place.
