The proposed rule updates Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) requirements to reflect provisions of the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 related to exceptions and requirements for able bodied adults without dependents. These changes will particularly impact individuals experiencing homelessness, veterans, and individuals aged 24 or younger and in foster care who have reached 18 years of age (or higher age if the State offers extended foster care to a higher age).
