The Department of Agriculture will issue a reproposal to revise its Agriculture Acquisition Regulation (AGAR) to bring it up to date and to make sure correspondence with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is maintained. The new proposed rule would be responsive to the comments received on our February 2022 proposal to amend the AGAR to correct and update internal references to the FAR; to remove sections supplementing material that has been removed from the FAR; and to update designations of USDA offices, where the office designations have changed since 1998. The proposed changes would restore correspondence between FAR sections and AGAR sections.
