This action updated the U.S. West Coast section of the federal list of authorized fisheries and gear under the Pacific Council's jurisdiction, the Exclusive Economic Zone off Washington, Oregon, and California. The list is intended to more narrowly describe all existing fisheries; fisheries that no longer exist were removed, and every fisherman fishing today is now covered by the list.
