This action would update the vessel reporting requirements for the surfclam and ocean quahog individual transferable quota fishery and integrate the regulations with the standard fishing Vessel Trip Report used by other fisheries in the region.  This would improve standardization of vessel trip reports across the region without changing the information collection reporting burden on the public.  These changes would facilitate the adoption of electronic trip reporting in this fishery, which may reduce costs to the industry and improve the quality of reported catch data.
