This proposed rule amends the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP) regulation, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), procedural provisions of the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) NEPA regulations, and the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA) of 2023. These proposed revisions clarify and update the DAF EIAP to align the regulation with recent amendments to the NEPA's statutory text; incorporate current DAF EIAP procedures and practices; and improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary confusion and delays.
