<ABSTRACT>

This action removes a final rule concerning licensing of Government inventions in the custody of the Department of the Navy last published December 22, 1976 (41 FR 55712), as it is inconsistent with the Department of Commerce regulation codified in 37 CFR part 404 regulating licensing of government-owned inventions by all Federal agencies. The rule removes outdated and unnecessary information from the Code of Federal Regulations.
