<RULE_TITLE>Notification Requirements for Awards of Single-Source Task or Delivery Orders (DFARS Case 2009-D036)</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[This rule implemented section 814 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 which required agency heads to notify the congressional defense committees within 30 days after making certain limited determinations to prohibit awards of sole source task or delivery order contracts that are estimated to exceed $100 million (including all options). In addition, the agency head is required to provide notification, within 30 days of the determination, if the task or delivery order contract concerns intelligence activities of DoD. The rule solely impacted internal Government operating procedures. The additional notification requirements are within DoD and between DoD agencies and the Congress. Therefore, the rule is not expected to have a significant cost or administrative impact on contractors.]]>
