DoD is issuing a final rule to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to repeal the contract clause 252.247-7005, Indefinite Quantities No Fixed Charges. Descriptions, quantities, units of measure, and negotiated costs are contained in the contract’s incorporated schedule of rates. Stevedoring services are ordered utilizing this information. When services are delivered and invoiced by the contractor, in accordance with the contract, and certified by the contract officer representative, the invoice is paid. The clause provides no additional benefit for the contractor or the Government. The DFARS clause is unnecessary and can be removed.
