DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement to implement section 841 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021. Section 841 adds a new section 10 U.S.C. 2533d, which prohibits acquiring a covered printed circuit board above the micro-purchase threshold from a covered country unless a waiver is obtained in writing. Any waivers must be provided to the designated congressional committees. Covered printed circuit boards must meet the required operational security requirements of section 224 of the NDAA for FY 2020.
