DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement to implement section 6403 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021.  Section 6403 requires any contractor or subcontractor that is subject to the requirement to disclose beneficial ownership information under 31 U.S.C. 5336  to provide such information as part of any bid or proposal for a contract with a value in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold.  The revision required by section 6403 will not apply to a covered contractor or subcontractor, as defined in section 847 of the NDAA for FY 2020, that is subject to the beneficial ownership disclosure and review requirements under that section. The annualized costs associated with this rule are estimated at approximately $6 million for the public.
