DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to update the clause at DFARS 252.204-7012, Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting. The updates include the incorporation of references to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-172 requirements, harmonization of certain terminology, addressing international agreements, and streamlining the vendor identification process.
