DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement section 854 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, codified at 10 U.S.C. Chapter 363 Front Matter. Section 854 prohibits the award of a contract for online tutoring services that could result in personal data of U.S. citizens being transferred to the control of the People’s Republic of China. DFARS subpart 237.1 will be updated to add the new prohibition.
