This part revises 32 CFR part 286 in accordance with the authority in 32 CFR part 285 to implement section 552 of title 5, United States Code and incorporate the provisions of Executive Order 13392. This part promotes uniformity in the DoD FOIA Program. It takes precedence over all DoD Component publications that supplement and implement the DoD FOIA Program. The revisions to this rule are part of DoD's retrospective plan under Executive Order 13563 completed in August 2011.
