The Department of Defense (DoD) is proposing to update current policies and procedures to reflect the DoD Freedom of Information Act Program as prescribed by Executive Order 13392. The changes will ensure appropriate agency disclosure of information and offer consistency with the goals of section 552 of title 5, United States Code. The revisions to this rule are part of DoD's retrospective plan under Executive Order 13563 completed in August 2011.
