This final rule will remove DoD’s rule which establishes procedures and assigns responsibilities for Special Events because it is internal to the Department.  Although civil authorities and officials of qualifying entities may request support from DoD, this rule neither confers a benefit not otherwise provided for in statute nor imposes a burden on the public. Concurrently with the repeal of this part, DoD will provide notice in the Federal Register to inform the public how to submit requests for special event support.
