<p>This rule proposes to exempt certain portions Defense Biometric Identification and Screening Records from 5 U.S.C. 552a(c)(3); (d)(1), (2), (3), and (4); (e)(1), (e)(4)(G), (H), and (I); and (f) of the Privacy Act, pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552a(k)(1) and (k)(2). The exemptions aim to prevent disclosure of classified national security information and investigatory material compiled for law enforcement purposes. Certain requirements of the Privacy Act may interfere with the effective execution of these activities.</p>
