As required by the section 603 of Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020, (Pub. L. 116-94), FDA is issuing a final rule to increase the minimum age of sale for tobacco products from 18 to 21 years of age, increase the minimum age for verification from under the age of 27 to under the age of 30, and to increase the minimum age for facilities that maintain vending machines that sell tobacco products from 18 years to 21 years of age.
