<RULE_TITLE>Undergraduate Scholarship Program Regarding Professions Needed by the National Institutes of Health</RULE_TITLE>
<![CDATA[Section 487D of the Public Health Service Act, as added by NIH Revitalization Act of 1993, creates a program offering scholarships to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who are enrolled as full-time students at accredited institutions pursuing academic programs appropriate for careers in professions needed by NIH. For each year of scholarship support, the recipient agrees to service (employment) after graduation, at NIH, for 1 year. Additionally, the individual agrees to at least 10 consecutive weeks of service (employment) at NIH during which the individual is attending the educational institution and receiving the NIH scholarship. The proposed new regulations will govern this program.]]>
