This advance notice of proposed rulemaking would solicit the public’s views on modifying the HIPAA Privacy Rule as necessary to implement the accounting of disclosures provisions of section 13405(c) of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (title XIII of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) and on certain workability changes to the accounting requirement.  The previous NPRM (76 FR 31426) will be withdrawn.
