This NPRM would propose regulations relating to Social Security coverage of State and local government employees (per section 218 of the Social Security Act) to align with our current policies and procedures. In addition, these changes will allow individuals to locate material with greater ease, will offer more robust definitions of commonly used terms, and will clarify several headers in our existing regulations on the topic.
