This proposed rule would rescind the BLM's final rule "Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process." The proposed rule would revise BLM's oil and gas regulations related to leasing and bonding requirements for oil and gas development and production, consistent with the priorities identified in EO 14154 "Unleashing American Energy" and SO 3418 "Unleashing American Energy." The proposed rule would also update the BLM’s leasing process to improve the energy leasing, development, and production capacity of the United State. The proposed rule's goal is to provide a reliable, diversified, growing, and affordable supply of energy for our Nation by making the fullest use of existing authorities.
