We will make a final determination on our revised proposal to:  (1) List the northern subspecies of the scarlet macaw as an endangered species; (2) list the northern distinct population segment (DPS) of the scarlet macaw as a threatened species; and (3) list the southern DPS of the scarlet macaw as a threatened species based on similarity of appearance. This species occurs in a variety of forest habitats in Central and South America.
