We are reviewing public comments received on the January 13, 2016, interim rule that added 201 species to the injurious wildlife list, and we are evaluating the Order Caudata to confirm or revise which salamander species should be listed in the regulations as injurious to prevent the risk of introduction into the United States of Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans, a fungus that causes fatal infections in European salamanders. The fungus affects only salamanders and is not yet known to be found in the United States.
