This rulemaking would supplement 49 CFR part 24, Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition for Federal and Federally Assisted Programs, by simplifying the requirements for the acquisition of real property from willing sellers in 11 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service grant programs and 5 subprograms. The rulemaking would also ensure that the landowner is notified of the appraised market value of the property before deciding on a sale price.
