FWS will make a listing determination, based on the best available scientific and commercial data, for the regal fritillary (Speyeria idalia) under the Endangered Species Act. This butterfly is found throughout much of the central and eastern United States. FWS will also propose to designate critical habitat for the species, if prudent and determinable.
