FWS is reassessing the listing status of the Gila chub (Gila intermedia). Our status determination will be based on the best available information at the time of publication. Based on the assessment, FWS may propose to delist the species, unless FWS determines no change in status is warranted. FWS issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking pertaining to removing the Gila chub, currently listed as endangered, from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife due to a taxonomic revision of the species.
