FWS will make a final determination on proposed regulations to improve the administration of conservation easements and better protect encumbered wetland areas. The proposed regulations would provide greater transparency and certainty to landowners and the agency by codifying the process by which FWS establishes drain tile setbacks to protect wetland easement contracts.
