FWS will make a listing determination, based on the best available scientific and commercial data, for the plains spotted skunk (Spilogale putorius interrupta). This skunk is found in Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming. FWS will also propose to designate critical habitat for the species, if prudent and determinable.
