FWS will make a final determination on our 2013 proposal to list a distinct population segment of the North American wolverine (Gulo gulo luscus) occurring in the contiguous United States. If we determine that listing as a threatened species is warranted, we will include a rule issued under section 4(d) of the Endangered Species Act. Breeding populations of this mammal are found in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming, with occasional sightings in California, Colorado, and Utah.
