This final rule will make several technical and clarifying edits to NPS regulations that will have no substantive effect on regulated individuals or entities. The rule also will update the authority citations to reflect the legislative transfer of many NPS statutory authorities from title 16 to title 54 of the U.S. Code. The rule makes other updates to authority citations that are not due to the recodification but are the result of a reconsideration of the proper authorities to cite.
