This proposed rule would amend the special regulations for Olympic National Park to remove outdated regulations that identify where motorboats are allowed to operate. Instead, the superintendent would establish closures and restrictions for the use of motorized vessels in accordance with criteria and procedures found in existing National Park Service regulations that give superintendents discretionary authority to manage visitor use of park areas (36 CFR 1.5; 36 CFR 3.8).
