This proposed rule would strengthen Indian Country public safety through ensuring the integrity of Indian Country law enforcement, and protecting the safety and civil rights of Indian Country community members. Further, these amendments will provide needed updates to ensure these regulations are current with contemporary Federal law, including the Indian Country Law Enforcement Reform Act (ILERA), and the Tribal Law and Order Act of 2010 (TLOA).
