The Department of the Interior published a final rule in the Federal Register on December 20, 2021, 86 FR 72068, to update the regulations governing probate of property that the United States holds in trust or restricted status for American Indians. The corrections are editorial in nature and involve no substantive changes to any applicable regulation. Due to the reorganization of the regulations, multiple cross references within the regulations are now incorrect and editorial changes created ambiguity in the final language. This action would make the necessary corrections to the final rule.
